PRIOR DOCUMENTS
The following documents were prepared prior to the start of the Advance Morehead City project:
CURRENT UDO
The City’s current Unified Development Ordinance includes the current development regulations in effect in Morehead City and its extraterritorial jurisdiction.
UDO REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
The RFP is the document prepared by the City describing its goals and objectives for the UDO preparation process.
CURRENT ZONING MAP
The City’s current Official Zoning Map includes the boundaries of the City’s current zoning districts in the corporate limits and the extraterritorial jurisdiction.
MOREHEAD CITY PLAN 2032
The Morehead City Plan 2032 is the City’s comprehensive plan for land use adopted in 2023. It describes the community’s desire for its future growth and development through a series of planning principals, objectives, a future land use map, and an implementation plan.
RFP RESPONSE
The RFP is the document prepared by the City describing its goals and objectives for the UDO preparation process.
The Morehead City Pedestrian Plan was adopted by the City in 2019 and it sets out a strategy for construction and extension of pedestrian facilities throughout the City’s planning jurisdiction.

COMPREHENSIVE BICYCLE PLAN
The Morehead City Comprehensive Bicycle Plan sets out the City’s goals for the development and maintenance of bicycle facilities as part of establishing more multimodal transportation options.
